On Thursday we learned a little bit about George Washington seeing as President's Day is quickly approaching.
We watched some videos, read from some books, and I told a few stories. Then we did this project! I gave the students sheets of pictures and we taked about what each picture represented in George Washington's life. Then the students went to their desks and used the pictures to create a George Washington face. After they created the face, they wrote about what picture they used for each part of the face and why. The kids had fun with the activity and it helped us to get in some informtional writing. Here is my example of the assignment. The pictures of the kids work are not uploadng, but if it ever works I will post them : )
Happy President's Day!
Love,
Miss Paul
